Personal Safety & Self-Defense Education for Women and Girls
Women and girls deserve access to program options that offer a practical, balanced, and personable approach to personal safety awareness and self-defense. Our experiences shape how we assess, and respond to perceived, and actual, threats to our personal and physical safety. Women and men respond to threat differently and victim-offender dynamics also differ across these populations. Crime victim statistics show that women are targeted more often than men for violent, sensitive crimes and stalking by a single offender.
MNCS offers dynamic and interactive personal safety sessions to serve this population. These sessions are suitable for women of all ages and backgrounds, and middle to high school-age girls. The goal is for each participant to leave their session more empowered and equipped to make informed choices about their physical safety.
“Personal safety is still relevant and women and girls are at greater risk for abduction and sensitive crimes.
That's a reality in our society today. It's time there be practical programming offered to meet their unique needs.”
